Why Support Next Step Up
Programs and services at Next Step Up are made possible because of the generosity of our supporters. We are 100% funded through philanthropic and grant support and don't receive reimbursement for the services we provide. Unlike food (SNAP) or healthcare (Medicaid), there are no federal or state entitlement programs for housing or shelter services in Ohio. So if you’re homeless in Ohio, you’re relying on the compassion of your community.

Donate Now
Make a one-time or monthly gift to support the Shelter and help us make it feel like home. Unrestricted donations help us purchase personal hygiene items or fund events like holiday parties, birthdays or other special celebrations to make a stay at the Shelter feel a little like home, especially for our families that are staying here.
Amazon Wishlist
You may order items directly from our Amazon Wishlist to support our Guests. Our Wishlist includes items like socks, undergarments, hygiene products and other necessities for Guests while they are staying in Shelter. It also features move-in essentials for Guests who are ready for a permanent home and need sheets, cookware and cleaning supplies
We accept new and unopened items for the Shelter as needed. The items we need for the Shelter vary and are based on our Guests' needs. Please see our in-kind donations guidelines for more information about we accept. Please call or email us about your planned donation in advance. We do not accept unsolicited drop-offs or items we cannot use for Guests.
