Volunteering for Next Step Up

Out of respect for our Guests and their privacy, we have limited in-person volunteer opportunities at the Shelter. However, there are several ways you can volunteer to support our work and our Guests.

Ways to Get Involved

It is important for you to contact us before you make plans to provide meals, coordinate a donation drive or host a fundraiser. The Shelter and our Guests have needs that vary over time and we want to ensure that donations match those needs. We also want you or your group to have the best volunteer experience.

Provide Meals for Shelter Guests

While our Shelter Guests are responsible for preparing most of their own meals, there are occasions where we welcome groups to prepare and serve meals for our guests. Contact us for more information or to schedule a time to serve meals to guests.

Coordinate Donation Drives

There are times throughout the year that we need special items for our Guests. Donation drives (new items only) are a great way to volunteer with a group and provide the Shelter with items we need. Contact us to learn what we need and what we will accept.

Host a Fundraiser for the Shelter

Gather your friends, do a Facebook fundraiser for your birthday or coordinate an event to raise money for the Shelter. There are many unique ways you can support Next Step Up and have fun at the same time. Let us know if you are planning an event.
